More information
I was born in Campania, on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius, in the tiny village of Cercola, on 23 July 1971.
I qualified from a Classical High School and attended the Federico II University in Naples, studying Modern Literature in combination with a Fine Art and Art-history course.
I qualified as a tour guide for Regione Campania in 1996, thus realising my dream of working in a sphere that fulfilled my love of art, natural history and culture in general.
Over the years I have diversified my professional offering, showing our region’s considerable historic, cultural and natural legacy to school kids, local church groups, sports associations, professional groups, Rotary Club groups and other cultural and voluntary associations, groups from cruise ships and, especially, individual families and people travelling on their own.
Recently, thanks to my studies at the British Institute and the University of La Verne in California, I have specialised in accompanying groups and families of English-speaking tourists, especially on the archaeological sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum.
For many years, I have worked as an expert in the secondary schools of Campania, providing special teaching with the aim of creating tourism packages for the incoming industry and helping the students to learn about the history, geography, geology and art history of this region in greater depth.
I have occasionally worked in private archives and in journalism.
I have also participated in various poetry competitions, receiving praise and acclaim from the critics.
I am married and have two kids.
I love travelling and learning about different cultures and traditions.
